On May 13, 2019, Jenny stood in Question Period to ask why the prime minister won't withdraw changes to Canada's asylum system hidden in the Budget Bill C-97. It's clear that no gender-based analysis of these proposed changes was done, and now 46 women's organizations from across Canada sent an open letter to the Prime Minister condemning these changes:
On May 13, 2019 I give a Member Statement in honour of the real climate leaders of our time:
Jenny tabled a petition on May 13, 2019, on behalf of her constituents and other Canadians who call upon the Liberal government to keep its 2015 election promises. Petitioners note that in the 2015 federal election, the Liberals promised Canadians in writing that defined benefit plans that have already been paid for by employees would not be retroactively changed into target benefit plans. Of course, after the election, the government changed that and Bill C-27 came into play:

On May 7, 2019, I rose in Question Period to ask:
On May 09, 2019, Jenny rose to ask in Question period: Will the Prime Minister do what thousands of Canadians are demanding and withdraw these dangerous provisions in Bill C-97 that put asylum seekers' lives at risk?

Jenny rose to speak to an Opposition Day motion moved by my colleague, NDP MP Daniel Blaikie, on Monday, April 29th, 2019:
Why is the Federal Liberal government one the one hand, giving out $12 million for fridges to a company owned by one of the wealthiest families in Canada, and on the other hand, making low-income seniors who use public transit report their BC Bus Pass as income on their income taxes?
On April 10, 2019, I stood in Question Period to ask if Prime Minster Trudeau would withdraw the major changes to immigration that are hidden in his Budget bill:
On April 11, 2019, I put forward a motion seeking unanimous consent from the House to withdraw legislation from the Budget bill that would make drastic changes to Canada's asylum claims process:
On April 10, 2019, Jenny rose in the House on a Point of Order, because I believe that Bill C-97 is an omnibus bill as defined under Standing Order 69.1:
I have learned, in reviewing the Liberal government's 2019 Budget, that they are trying to sneak in changes to refugee laws in their Budget bill.
Humanitarian leaders don't shut their borders to asylum seekers in the midst of a refugee crisis. Lives are at risk.
That's why, on April 9, 2019, I rose in Question Period to ask once again: Will the Prime Minister do the right thing and suspend the Safe Third Country Agreement?
